The Leicester Riverside Festival 2007

Leicester City Council and The Leicestershire Branch of the IWA once again asked the Sea Cadets to provide safety boat & life saving cover for the 10th year of their Riverside Festival.

With events taking place both on and off the water, spread across two days the event proved once again to be a very enjoyable day for the Cadets

As always the Cadets and staff of TS Tiger are happy to help out with this event. Here the safety boat can be seen bringing up the rear of the boat parade
towards the end of Saturday's festivities.

This boat, is cunningly diguised as a steam train, and with the theme for the decorated boat competition being transport they were the worthy winners of the parade.

After the awards for the parade, a special award was made.
The Brewster Trophy, given in memorium of John Brewster of Paddleplus was presented by his daughter Anneka Brewster to Leicester Sea Cadets for their services at the Riverside Festival.
