Welcome to T.S.Rugrats the Juniors Division of T.S.Tiger
Are you bored? Fed up with watching TV need something to do ???
Why not come down to the Junior Section of the Leicester Sea Cadets.
If you are Between 10 - 12 years old then we can offer you a really great time.
From boating & sailing to sports and activities we are the place to be. You could get to visit Royal Navy ships and different places of interest, as well as other Sea Cadet Units. You will also learn how to send messages using semaphore
We meet on Thursday nights from 19:00 to 21:30 hours, so why not come down and let us show you a great, fun time. Junior cadets also attend the 'Full Blues' parade night which is the first Tuesday of every month.
Uniforms
Junior Sea Cadets are supplied with a uniform which consists of:
Sweatshirt with embroidered logo
White Tee-shirt
Beret with embroidered badge
Be part of something special. You won't know until you try!!!!!
Junior Sea Cadets (JSC) earn achievement badges as they progress.
They can also earn a promotion to Junior 1st Class (J1C one blue star badge) or Junior 2nd class (J2C, two blue star badges).
All the badges are sewn onto a Brassard which is worn on the shoulder and upper arm, the badges are worn in the order shown in the pictures.
Section 2 Unit - Red
• Choose Activities from the Unit section in the Junior Cadet Programme Guide.
• Undergo the appropriate briefing and then take part in at least 15 of the practical Unit based Activities. Section 3 Waterborne - Blue
• Choose Activities from the Waterborne section in the JSC Programme
Guide.
• Undergo the appropriate briefing and then take part in at least 15 activity modules. Section 4 Outdoor & Recreation - Green
• Choose Activities from the Outdoor section in the Junior Cadet Programme Guide.
• Undergo the appropriate briefing and then take part in at least 15 activity modules. Section 5 Community & Citizenship - Yellow
• Choose activities to learn about your community and take an active part in it.
• Undergo the appropriate briefing and then take part in at least 15 activities modules. Commodore’s Broad Pennant Award
• To achieve this award, the Junior Sea Cadet must complete a further 20 activity modules spread over the four coloured activity sections (no more than 8 from one section).
These are just a few of the things we get up to.
This year we went along to the Leicester City Football Remembrance Day match to help the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

so we also have two smaller boats that we can use.
