Fundraising

TS Tiger is a registered Charity, No 521451

[buy.at] - [Yellow Moon] - [50 Club] - [Quiz Nights] - [Challenge Walk]

Without constant fundraising, donations from trust funds and from other organisations, TS Tiger would not be able to continue the work we do. In order to ensure the continued safety of Cadets we have this year installed a fire alarm system and also replaced aging fire extinguishers. This has once again placed a heavy financial burden onto the Unit which reduces the funds available to use on training aids etc for the benefit of the Cadets and also the general improvements to the unit and unit equipment i.e boats etc

2006 was a particularly difficult year with the need to improve the unit to meet current Electrical and Health & Safety requirements. On top of this replacement matresses have been purchased so that the cadets can sleep in clean and comfortable(ish) bunks, and this has placed a larger than usual financial burden upon the unit. We have tried this year to cut down on our regular outgoings and also taken steps to relieve any unwanted financial burdens thus freeing up funds for the cadets themselves. In an effort to make TS Tiger more self sufficient we have started various fundraising activities which we hope will bring in a steady income.

If you should wish to make a donation to TS Tiger, this can be done either directly by making a cash donation or by taking advantage of one of the fundraising efforts we have instigated.

buy.at/

buy.at/ is a simple concept. All online purchases via links on the page generate commission. Transactions by cheque or over the telephone (unless specified by the retailer, such as Laterooms) do not generate commission. At no time during the experience on the retailers' sites should you edit the web address in the address bar. This will disable the commission being earned.

When you click on any links you will be taken through to specific retailers' own websites. They are responsible for your order and credit card security.

It really is an excellent way to get some great online bargains, find cheaper gas and electricity services, and even book your holidays. They use some of the major high street shops and online stores.

So go on, top up your CD or DVD collection or, if you're making business purchases, why not make them from our webshop? For example, you can buy computer equipment from Novatech, great value broadband from BT or stationery from Euroffice. And there are plenty of offers on DIY products, clothing, magazine subscriptions and lots more from our high street names.

Use the search facility to compare a product name (e.g. kettle) with all of the retailers to help you find the best price.

Quiz Nights

4 or 5 times a year we are hold a Quiz Night at TS Tiger, Ross Walk, Leicester.
Supper is included in the price of the quiz and there is also a licensed bar.
Some of the nights are run as family quizzes while others are just for adults,

We would like to invite teams, a maximum of 4 people per team,  from other youth organisations, local communities, service clubs, societies and parents of Cadets or ex-Cadets.

The purpose of the quiz night is to raise funds for TS Tiger and also to have a fun time.

If you would like to enter a team please contact us, the latest news and dates regarding a quiz night can be found on our news page or diary >> see here <<

It would be helpful if you could let us know in advance if you will be attending so that we can ensure we do not run out of food, and please let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements.
You can register and find more info about the quiz nights >>Here<<

So don’t miss your chance to enjoy a few questions with a salty theme and the opportunity to socialise and meet Leicester’s connection to the Royal Navy.
